Privacy Policy

This is the Privacy Policy for Bubbled, an iOS app developed by Jose Sanchez (“we,” “us,” “our”), based in the United States. This page explains what information the app handles, how it’s used, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Your photos, videos, and GIFs stay on your device. The Bubbled app processes all media locally on your iPhone or iPad. We never upload your media to our servers. We don’t see your photos.

The data we do receive is limited to what’s needed to operate the app:

  • Subscription state — managed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to track whether you have an active Pro subscription. RevenueCat identifies you with an anonymous ID — never your name, email, or Apple ID.
  • Anonymous usage analytics — we use Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and where users encounter problems. No personal information is collected. Events are anonymized.
  • Crash reports — we use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports when the app fails. These help us fix bugs. They include device model and OS version, never personal data.
  • Advertising identifier (free users only) — we use Google AdMob to show ads to users on the free tier. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency dialog asks for your permission before any ad-tracking identifier is used. You can decline; ads still appear, just not personalized.

What we don’t collect

  • We don’t ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information.
  • We don’t sell or rent any data to third parties.
  • We don’t use cookies or web trackers — there’s no website inside the app.

Subscriptions and payment

Bubbled offers an optional Pro subscription for additional features. Subscription title, length, and price are shown on the in-app paywall before you confirm purchase.

  • Payment is processed through your Apple ID and managed by Apple.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Renewal charge: your account is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Manage or cancel at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app under your profile.

We use RevenueCat to confirm subscription state — only an anonymous identifier, never your Apple ID or name.

Children

Bubbled is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your rights

Because we don’t store personal data tied to you, there’s no account to delete and no profile to export. Your photos and videos are on your device — you control them.

To clear all local app data (drafts, caches, preferences), open the app, go to Account → Delete All Data.

EU and Brazilian users’ rights

If you are in the European Union (GDPR) or Brazil (LGPD), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of any personal data we hold about you. Because we do not store personal data tied to identifiable users on our own systems, in practice there is no account-level data for us to retrieve or delete. To exercise these rights with respect to data processed by our third-party services, contact us at support@getbubbled.app and we will guide you to the relevant operator.

Where your data is processed

We operate from the United States. Anonymous identifiers and event data routed through the third-party services listed above are stored on those services’ servers, which may be located in the United States or elsewhere. Each third party is responsible for its own data residency and security.

Third-party services

The third-party services Bubbled relies on:

  • Apple — handles all in-app purchases and subscription billing. Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — receives anonymous subscription identifiers. Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase (Analytics + Crashlytics) — operated by Google. Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob — shows ads to free-tier users. Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users within the app.
